Using high pressure water is a relatively recent process. In fact, it only started to be developed in the 1950s and its progress sped up in the 1980s with increasingly high power levels and more and more reliable solutions. It now has a host of applications and has opened up numerous markets: farming, sanitation, treatment plants, chemical factories, part cutting/stripping/deburring, food production factories, abattoirs, automotive industry, infrastructure maintenance, urban furniture cleaning and many more.
Discover RIVARD’s high pressure cleaner and hydrodemolition solutions.
High pressure equipment uses the energy of a water jet sprayed at high speed via tools (manual or automated) that support pressure levels of up to 3000 bars. This high, very high or ultra-high pressure water jet technology can be used in a wider range of applications:
- Industrial cleaning and sanitation
- Infrastructure maintenance
- Industrial processes and applications
- Hydrodemolition
The pressure is generated by plunger piston volume pumps generally driven by electric or fuel-powered engines.
High pressure cleaner according to applications by RIVARD
RIVARD commands numerous technologies which enables it to integrate High Pressure into fixed or mobile equipment. For high pressure infrastructure cleaning, RIVARD has developed the Hydrostripper to bleed roads or strip tyre rubber from airport runways or motor racing circuits, tunnel washers to clean walls and ceilings or even the Full train to service railway lines.
For industrial cleaning
Very High Pressurised water is a process which is used a great deal in industry thanks to effectiveness and the fact that no additives are used, making it ideal for the food production and chemicals industries. Depending on the pressure used, the process has a wide range of possible applications, from regular stripping maintenance to hydrodemolition.
High pressure cleaners for the automotive industry
RIVARD has developed numerous systems for the automotive industry, such as cleaning or stripping sheets of lacquer from bodywork or bumpers used during painting processes, stripping gratings, stripping foam from steering wheels, buffing after welding operations, stripping electrolyte coating arms, bodywork swings, wheels and more.
High pressure cleaners for shipyards
Very High Pressurised water is a process which is used a great deal in ship maintenance. Because no products are added to the water, environmental pollution is then limited. Robotic solutions also exist to strip ships’ hulls.
